sailboat design

 In class we have been making sailboat designs.                                                                                            On Monday I will hopefully be making my sailboat.                                                                                        The Hull on my boat will be made out of a container or a bottle if I don't have a container to use                    I will use skewers for the mast and edges of the sail and glad wrap for the sail.                                              For the keel and rudder I am using some chopped up plastic.                                                                           I might put some bottle caps on the bottom of my boat if I am unsure if it will float.                                        And if I can I will put tiny people inside the boat to see if they will survive the ride on my sailboat.                I will be gluing everything together with hot glue or taping it together.

    This looks like an interesting design, Libby. Have you thought about what material you will use for your sail? I am wondering if you could use some type of plastic for this. I like that you have thought about what other materials you will need, and also that you have labelled all of your parts.
